Hi, I’m Angela

Owner of Motherhood Untamed Lactation & Education

IBCLC, CLC, Holding Space Consultant & New Parent Educator

TLDR: 3 kids. IVF Mom. Miscarriage Mom. Wife. WY born. Speaker. Advocate. Bad Dancer.

👋 I’m a mom to three awesome little humans and married to my favorite big human. Originally a Wyoming girl, I packed up and moved to Fort Collins on my 18th birthday to attend CSU—and I’ve never looked back. I’m an IBCLC Lactation Consultant, Certified New Parent Educator, prior La Leche League Leader and Holding Space Consultant. Helping new parents navigate the wild world of newborn life and breastfeeding lights my soul on fire. 🔥

Motherhood? It’s not just a role for me—it’s the melody my life dances to. My journey wasn’t exactly smooth sailing (think recurrent miscarriages, fertility clinics, IUIs, IVF, and a surprise pregnancy for the finale). But those twists and turns shaped me into the person I am today—and for that, I’m grateful.

If you’re here because you need support with anything from understanding your newborn to breastfeeding hurdles, I’d be honored to help you on your journey. Let’s navigate this beautiful chaos together! 💕

I laugh loudly. I sing a lot. I’m always here to listen. And I am so glad that you are here.

Great Lactation Support Matters

TLDR: everyone deserves GREAT lactation care.

Welcome to this cozy corner of the internet! If you’re here, you probably know just how important lactation support can be. Let me tell you why I’m so passionate about helping families in Northern Colorado (shoutout to Fort Collins, Windsor, Loveland, Wellington, and Greeley!).

Breastfeeding might be natural, but it’s not instinctive—and that’s where lactation pros come in. Fun fact: most parents start their breastfeeding journey (over 83% nationwide and 94% in Colorado, according to the CDC), but fewer than half are still exclusively breastfeeding at six months. Why? A lack of support, education, and resources.

And let’s talk about the critical “zone of professional unavailability” (a.k.a. days 3–7 postpartum). You’re home from the hospital, sleep-deprived, and possibly wondering, “What did they even say about latch again?!” That’s when having someone come to your home to guide and encourage you feels like pure magic.

Sometimes, one good lactation consult is all it takes to set you up for success (whatever that looks like for you). While I can’t guarantee it’ll be one-and-done, I can promise you’ll leave with tools and confidence to navigate any bumps along the way. And honestly? That kind of support is worth its weight in (liquid) gold. 💛

*home visits incur a $30 fee which is not covered by insurance, home visits 20-40 minutes from Harmony & I-25 incur an additional $30 travel fee

The Story of Motherhood Untamed

It Started As a Whisper

When I became a mom, I fell head over heels into the world of babies and parenthood. But here’s the twist: the moment my little one arrived, I wasn’t “Angela” anymore—I was just “Mom.” Don’t get me wrong, “Mom” was a title I’d dreamed of, but the reality? It was hard. Breastfeeding felt anything but natural, and parenting this tiny human could be downright lonely.

In those quiet moments of chaos, my heart started whispering: This is what you’re meant to do. I began dreaming about creating something to help other families through this wild transition into parenthood—something full of grace, support, and connection. What started as a “someday” dream is now my mission: to make sure no parent has to navigate this journey alone. 💕

It Became a Flutter

When my second baby arrived, that quiet whisper in my heart turned into a full-on flutter. Second-time parenthood was a mix of beauty and chaos—still challenging, even with some experience under my belt. Breastfeeding threw new curveballs my way, and juggling a toddler on top of it all made every appointment feel like a mini circus act.

I couldn’t stop dreaming about “someday.” Someday, I’d support families in my community—bringing breastfeeding education and help right to their couch, where older kiddos could play freely. I started diving into certifications, business plans, and the nuts and bolts of turning that dream into reality. The vision of someday was officially taking shape! ✨

It Morphed Into A Hummingbird

Somewhere in my daughter’s first year, that little whisper turned into a full-blown hummingbird, wings fluttering nonstop in my chest. Someday wasn’t just a far-off dream anymore—it was all I could think about. I dove into certifications, started chatting with community connections, and told anyone who’d listen about this vision I had.

The timing wasn’t perfect (is it ever?), but my soul kept nudging me: The time is now. So, I got to work. Supporting families through the ups and downs of parenthood and helping them crush their infant feeding goals became my mission. With a lot of dedication and love from my amazing village, Motherhood Untamed was born. Someday had officially arrived, and it’s been the adventure of a lifetime! 🐦✨
